Martin Road connects Highway 26 and Forest Grove and is used by passenger, farm and freight traffic.
We are building a roundabout at the Martin Road and Highway 47 intersection in partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the city of Forest Grove. A roundabout provides improved safety over other traffic control options by reducing the number of places where vehicles cross paths and crashes are most likely and while reducing the severity of crashes.
We will also replace of two culverts on Martin Road at Council Creek with a single-span concrete bridge. The culverts failed and were repaired in 2019.
The $8.3 million project is funded through Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP 3e) and the city of Forest Grove.
